Texas authorities discovered 50 dead migrants in the truck

As many as 50 illegal immigrants have been found dead in an abandoned trailer near the US-Mexico border in San Antonio, Texas. Earthquakes in Afghanistan destroyed hundreds of homes & killed nearly 1,000

The earthquake in Afghanistan has killed at least 950 people and injured hundreds more, Afghan authorities confirmed.  About 950 people have died and more than 1500 have been injured, a top disaster management official said during a news briefing. Air ambulance service was activated in the eastern Paktika province to transport severely injured to hospitals.  According to Taliban leader Hibatullah Ahundzada, hundreds of homes have been destroyed and the death toll is expected to rise.  When the earthquake near the host city occurred on Tuesday shortly after 1:30 a.m. local time, many people were at home and sound sleeping in their beds.

Inflation rate in Canada reached 6.8%.in April

Food and accommodation prices climb in Canada Canada, Ottawa - Consumer prices in Canada rose 6.8 percent in April, slightly up from 6.7 percent in March, according to Statistics Canada last month. Food and property prices accounted for most of April's increase. US Marine aircraft crash: 4 killed & one disappeared

America, Washinton Dc - A military official said Thursday that 4 Marines were killed and one missing after an Osprey plane crashed in the Southern California desert. The official said on condition of anonymity as the investigation continued. Further details are not available. The MV-22B Osprey was carrying five Marines when it crashed at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday during the training in Imperial County near Glamis, about 185 km east of San Diego. The MV-22B is a twin-engine self-adjusting aircraft that can fly like a turboprop while taking off and landing like a helicopter. The aircraft version is operated by the Marines, Navy, and Air Force. Before Wednesday's crash, the Osprey crash claimed 46 lives, the Los Angeles Times reported.

South Korea: Seven killed In a Suspected Attack on district court

South Korea - A massive explosion in an office building near the city's district court building early Thursday killed seven people and injured 46.  The incident took place in the South Korean city of Daegu.  The boom rattled buildings several kilometers distant, according to eyewitnesses. The cause of the attack is still being investigated, but police suspect it was an arson attack. Officials said the suspect, a man in his 50s, died on the spot. At approximately 10:55 a.m. local time, more than 150 firefighters were dispatched to the building after the fire broke out (1:55 GMT), according to the BBC, the firefighter team  extinguished the fire in 20 minutes. All of the victims were taken to the hospital immediately.

22 Feared Dead After Train Derails In Iran

Iran, Tehran - At least 22 people were killed and 100 more were injured when a train derailed in eastern Iran, state media reported.  The train, which was carrying about 350 passengers, derailed about 50 km from Tabas on the Mashhad-Yazd link.  The train collided with an excavator along the tracks, according to the deputy head of Iran's railways.  With many of the injured in critical condition, emergency services fear the death toll could rise, BBC said.  Mehdi Valipur of the Iranian Red Crescent informed state television that five of the 11 carriages had derailed.  As per Moitaba Khaled, a spokesman for the national emergency services, three helicopters, and 24 ambulances were dispatched to the scene following the incident, which occurred around 05:30 local time (01:00 GMT).  According to official information, the cause of the deadly train derailment in the northeast of the country on Wednesday morning was the human error of an excavator driver.  Mohammad Hassan Esmaili, Chairman

An experimental cancer drug proved a 100 percent success rate in a small study trial on patients with rectal cancer conducted by doctors at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Joe Biden to visit Europe for G7, NATO summits

The USA - According to White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre, US President Joe Biden will travel to Germany for the G7 summit in late June and then to Spain for the NATO summit.  Biden will attend the  G-7 summit on June 25 in Schloss Elmau in southern Germany, where leaders will discuss the war in Ukraine and the food and energy crisis, Reuters reported.  Allies are expected to focus on NATO's "modification over the next decade" at the NATO meeting in Madrid on June 28, according to the statement.

Balochistan, Pakistan: Toyota Hiace Plunged Into Gorge Left 22 Dead

Balochistan, Pakistan - A Van skidded off a narrow mountain road and fell into a ravine in a remote area of southwest Pakistan, killing 22 passengers, including women and children.  The incident took place in the Qila Saifullah district near the Akhtarzai area, about 200km north of Quetta, on Wednesday, authorities said.  Rescue workers took the bodies to a nearby hospital, DDO Mohammad Qasim said.  The fatal accident killed all of the passengers. The Deputy district officer first claimed that 18 passengers died in the accident, but later added that four more bodies were recovered from the van's wreckage.  He further said relatives of passengers who died in the crash had arrived at the hospital to receive the bodies of their loved ones.  The weather was fine at the time of the collapse, according to authorities, and police officers were investigating possible mechanical problems or human error, as witnesses said the van appeared to be traveling at high speed when it lost control an

Britain's Boris Johnson will face a no-confidence motion from his party. Gun Violence At Catholic Church In Nigeria Killed 50 - Govt

Nigeria, Abuja - Gunmen attacked a Catholic church in southwest Nigeria during a Sunday church service, killing nearly 50 people, including women and children, hospital management said.  Several Nigerian news outlets reported that gunmen opened fire on worshipers and detonated explosives at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.  The attackers' identities and motivations were not immediately clear, Reuters said.  Police have not released any information about the offense.  Ondo State police spokesman said that a new statement about the incident would be issued soon. Uttarakhand, India: 22 Killed After Bus Carrying Pilgrims Plunged In Gully

Uttarakhand, India -  A bus carrying pilgrims crashed into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Sunday, killing 22 people.  The 28- passenger bus was en route to Yamunotri, an important pilgrimage site on a hill.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sympathy to those who had lost loved ones in the disaster.  Narendra Modi has announced a compensation of 2 lakh rupees for each family of those who were killed in the crash and 50,000 rupees for each of those injured in the Uttarakhand bus crash.  "Under the supervision of the state administration, local governments are obligated to provide whatever support may be available on the ground," the prime minister's office tweeted.  Source: NDTV

Iraq: ISIL Killed 5, Injured 6 In Diyala Province

Iraq, Baghdad - Five people were killed and six others injured in the ISIL attack in Iraq's Diyala province.  Early Sunday, Iraqi media reported that surviving ISIL terrorists carried out a series of strikes in Diyala province. The attack was carried out with hand grenades and a sniper rifle, as per Sabreeen news, adding three children were among the martyrs.  To ensure ISIL and its fugitives do not re-emerge, Iraqi security forces continue to search, disinfect and track isis remnants across the country.   Pro military forces apprehended an isis terrorist in charge of foreign relations on Sunday.  Iraqi forces spokesman Yahya Rasul also said on Friday that Iraqi soldiers had killed 13 isis elements across the country.  Iraqi security forces had found isis members carrying out operations in the provinces of Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Diyala,  al Sumeria news reported. 

Chittagong Fire: Over 300 Killed & Wounded In Bangladesh

Chittagong, Bangladesh - At least 42 people were killed and 300 were injured in a massive explosion at a depot near Chittagong, Bangladesh.  The explosion occurred after firefighters were called to a container yard in Sitakunda to extinguish the blaze, according to BBC.  The chemical was stored in several containers at the store, local media said.  The boom rattled buildings several kilometers distant, according to eyewitnesses.  Many of the injured are said to be in serious condition, with burns covering 60 to 90 percent of their bodies.  The city is only 40 km from the country's second-largest city, Chittagong, and one of the city's hospitals is full of victims.  According to local media, warehouse workers, firefighters, and police officers were among those injured.  As of Sunday morning, hours after the explosion, firefighters were still battling the blaze. Mujibur Rahman, director of the facility said that about 600 people were working at the containers depot.

Iraqi army Eliminates 13 ISIL Elements

Baghdad, Iraq - Yahya Rasul, the spokesman for the Iraqi armed forces, said on Friday that the Iraqi army had killed 13 ISIL militants across the country. According to al Sumeria news, an Iraqi forces command spokesman reported that Iraqi security forces found isis members during operations in Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Diyala provinces. He said that Iraqi air force raids in the kara Chok mountains in Iraq's Mahmur province killed Islamic State fighters. Haider Jawad Kadhim al-Abadi had declared victory against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIL) in July 2017, when Mosul city was collapsed to Iraqi forces, however, some remaining elements are spreading chaos and havoc to penetrate security forces and civilians in order to expand further control in the strategic constituencies of Iraq and Syria.

Iranian religious scholar, Hassan Shahzeydi Gets Injured In Knife Attack

Germany: Rail Crash Killed & Wounded 34 In Bavaria State

Germany- A train derailed near a famous mountainous tourist destination in southern Germany on Friday, killing four people and injuring 30 others, authorities said.  A train with many students was en route to Munich when three carriages derailed near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. A police spokesman said that 15 injured were sent to a hospital.  At the time of the rail crash, there were 60 passengers on board.  The mishap took place in Bavaria state. Police and State prosecutors have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, Reuters reported.  There was no news about the victims' identities or whether the driver was one of them.  The incident injured 60 people, according to a spokesman for the district governor of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.  According to the regional newspaper Munchener Merkur, the train was carrying a large number of students.  Vast emergency operation is still continuing, and all train lines are suspended, police said.
