Pakistani President, Mr Asif Ali Zardari, Begins 4-day Iraq Visit

BAGHDAD, Iraq  —   President Asif Ali Zardari rolled into Baghdad on Saturday for an official visit all about boosting trade ties. President Zardari aims to strengthen relations with Baghdad following years of limited interaction.    "President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Baghdad for a four-day official visit to Iraq," his office announced on social media.   Culture Minister Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani warmly welcomed him. Iraq: Self-serving Store Fire Kills 60

Al-Kut, also known as Kut al-Imara, is mainly a Shia Muslim city in Iraq. BAGHDAD, Iraq  —   Police and health officials report that a massive fire in an al-Kut city superstore in eastern Iraq killed at least 60 people, with 11 still missing as of Thursday. Throughout the night, a major fire consumed the five-story self-service store in Al-Kut, while firefighters bravely fought to extinguish it, local media reported. The cause of the fire remains undetermined; however, the governor of the province has announced that preliminary investigation findings will be disclosed within two days.  No other piece of information about the deceased was immediately released by the Iraqi government authorities. Bodies were being taken to a hospital for identification.  "The governor informed the journalists, 'We have initiated legal action against the owner of the general store."

Iraq: ISIL Killed 5, Injured 6 In Diyala Province

Iraq, Baghdad - Five people were killed and six others injured in the ISIL attack in Iraq's Diyala province.  Early Sunday, Iraqi media reported that surviving ISIL terrorists carried out a series of strikes in Diyala province. The attack was carried out with hand grenades and a sniper rifle, as per Sabreeen news, adding three children were among the martyrs.  To ensure ISIL and its fugitives do not re-emerge, Iraqi security forces continue to search, disinfect and track isis remnants across the country.   Pro military forces apprehended an isis terrorist in charge of foreign relations on Sunday.  Iraqi forces spokesman Yahya Rasul also said on Friday that Iraqi soldiers had killed 13 isis elements across the country.  Iraqi security forces had found isis members carrying out operations in the provinces of Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Diyala,  al Sumeria news reported. 

Iraqi army Eliminates 13 ISIL Elements

Baghdad, Iraq - Yahya Rasul, the spokesman for the Iraqi armed forces, said on Friday that the Iraqi army had killed 13 ISIL militants across the country. According to al Sumeria news, an Iraqi forces command spokesman reported that Iraqi security forces found isis members during operations in Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Diyala provinces. He said that Iraqi air force raids in the kara Chok mountains in Iraq's Mahmur province killed Islamic State fighters. Haider Jawad Kadhim al-Abadi had declared victory against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIL) in July 2017, when Mosul city was collapsed to Iraqi forces, however, some remaining elements are spreading chaos and havoc to penetrate security forces and civilians in order to expand further control in the strategic constituencies of Iraq and Syria.
