Massive fire At bar In Bangkok kills dozens

July 13 - (The Global News Desk 115) —  At least 29 people lost their lives, and several others were injured in a terrible fire that broke out in a Bangkok pub late on Sunday night. Several black bags to carry dead bodies were found on the ground outside the Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao restaurant and bar early on Monday, according to representatives from international media agencies.  A large number of emergency service personnel were also present at the scene. The fire quickly engulfed the bar, extending to the ceiling. Smoke was probably the main reason for the 29 fatalities and 60  injuries. Spain Wildfire Kills 12 People

July 10 - (The Global News Desk 115)  —  About 12 people were burned alive as a wildfire raged through the Almería region of southern Spain, coinciding with a severe heatwave that has impacted the entire country. The government announced on Friday that several of the deceased in Bedar town, which is in the Almería province, were found in their cars. As the temperature rose to 40C, more than 150 firefighters, supported by five fire vehicles, were sent to the scene. As the fire progressed, roads were closed, and locals were evacuated; around fifty people were sheltered in a cultural center. At least six victims were hurt in the incident, including a woman and men.  Witnesses informed police that the fire may have originated when a power cable collapsed, sparking dry grass and quickly spreading across the adjacent woods, but officials have not confirmed the cause. Factory Fire in Jinjiang, China Killed 28 Workers

 A state-run news agency reports that a devastating fire at a shoe factory in Jinjiang, China, has claimed at least 28 workers' lives. Broadcasts and posts on social media featured videos and photos showing huge black smoke rising from a building, as well as people who appeared to be trapped on the rooftop. The Huiteng Footwear facility caught fire on Thursday afternoon around 5:00 BST. The state channel CCTV confirmed that more than 200 people have been evacuated. However, it is not known how many people have been affected by injuries. President Xi Jinping said that the fire resulted in "significant casualties," and that those guilty must be held "strictly accountable." He also expressed profound grief over the loss of precious lives.  

Belgium Fire: Inferno Kills 6 In Belgium Apartment

Belgian officials report that a fire at an apartment building in Antwerp, a port city, has claimed the lives of at least six people.  Antwerp police announced on Wednesday afternoon that the fire was nearly extinguished and was caused by a mechanical problem on the bottom floor. Unexpectedly, many people have been hurt, and six died, according to the police. At 9:53 a.m., a fire was reported on the eighth floor of a building in the Linkeroever area, according to a police statement.  Bart De Wever, the Prime Minister of Belgium, expressed his condolences to the victims and the local community. I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the emergency services, who are working diligently to aid the countless people impacted as soon and safely as possible, and to bring the fire under control," he added.

Deadly Inferno Claims Dozens Of Lives In India, Including Foreigners

New Delhi, India  — A huge, deadly fire consumed a hotel building in Delhi's Malviya Nagar neighborhood, killing up to 21 people, and more than 40 others were saved. The blaze erupted at approximately 8:45 am on Tuesday at Flourish Stay, a bed-and-breakfast service located in the Hauz Rani vicinity near Saket. According to local reports, the fire started in the restaurant in the five-story building's basement, quickly spread throughout the complex, and eventually affected the nearby Micasa Inn hotel. Emergency services initiated an extensive rescue operation as dense smoke and fire consumed the building, leaving numerous guests trapped within.  The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, shared his sadness over the loss of lives and said that an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh would be provided from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each victim who has died.

6 People Died In A Blaze Incident In Karachi

KARACHI, SINDH - At least six people have died, and several others are missing due to the deadly fire at the Gul Plaza commercial center in Karachi. A three-story building caught fire at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, destroying over 1,000 shops before collapsing and burning to ashes within hours. A firefighter, Furqan Shoukat, who diligently dedicated himself to extinguishing the blaze, heroically sacrificed his life in the line of duty, as reported by rescue personnel.  Over 115 firefighters and 2 dozen fire brigades have been relentlessly tackling the massive fire for more than 20 hours, as reported by Sindh government authorities. Pakistan: 6 killed After liquefied Petroleum Gas Tanker Explosion

Multan Police said on Monday that a truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas caught fire and blew up yesterday night in an industrial area in Multan, killing 6 people and injuring 38 others. The explosion shattered the windows and roofs of adjacent houses, as well as damaged material inside the dwelling.  Although the on-site situation has been under control, nearby residences have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution.  There was no clear indication of the cause of the purported explosion.  Multan Deputy Commissioner  said the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority had also been brought in for the rescue services.  The fire was effectively put out by rescue teams.  The victim's identity could not be determined immediately.
