K ABUL, Afghanistan  — Afghan elite forces claimed to have taken out  Molavi Sabour, the  deputy   intelligence officer of  Taliban, in targeted and intelligence-based airstrikes on Chahar Bolak district of Balkh state yesterday.  Molavi Sabour was the second Taliban intelligence official for the northern region of Afghanistan. After the extermination of Qari Qudrat, powers were assigned to  Molavi Sabour. However, the death of  Molavi Sabour has not  yet  been confirmed by the Taliban spokesperson.  

  K ABUL, Afghanistan — As many as 260 Taliban  Militants have reportedly been killed and 159 others wounded in an anti-insurgents operation across the country. The  large-scale  anti-insurgents operation  was launched by the  Afghan National Defense Security Forces (ANDSF)and Afghan aerial forces in different provinces of Afghanistan, which finished up in the elimination of about  260 Taliban rebels in the past 24 hours, Afghan news agency reported on Sunday. The anti-insurgent operation was executed  magnificently in Helmand, Kunar, Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Herat, Farah, Ghor, Balkh, Jawzjan, Takhar, Baghlan, Wardak, and Ghazni states of Afghanistan which produced wanted results. The news agency  further added that large depots of ammunition and several heavy and light weapons belonging to the Taliban forces were also destroyed in a targeted airstrike.

Kabul, Afghanistan — Afghan Government forces suffered a serious setback as the Taliban insurgents seized more districts in the different provinces of Afghanistan ahead of NATO pull out, state media reported on Saturday. Afghan officials said on Saturday that the Taliban overrun the Mardian district in Jawzjan province after inflicting heavy losses upon opponent forces.
