Terrorist Attack Martyred Policemen

July 31 - (The Global News Desk 115) - Dozens of police officers were killed and injured when terrorists blew up a checkpoint in north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Insurgents launched the series of attacks in the Hangu region of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, near the Afghanistan border, the provincial police headquarters said.  Authorities reported on Thursday that around 11 police officers were killed and 28 others were injured in the recent ambush at a security checkpoint in northern Pakistan.  The attack was allegedly carried out by the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to the KPK police. Attacks on government buildings and security forces in northwest and southwest Pakistan have long been carried out by the TTP. Iraq Dismantled Terrorism Cells Linked to Ukraine

July 28 - (The Global News Desk 115) — Numerous terrorist groups that were involved in a string of explosions around Iraq have been successfully eliminated by Iraq's intelligence services. The sabotage groups were planning more terrorist attacks with Ukrainian backing and financial support, Iraqi media reported late on Monday.  The sabotage groups were organizing more terrorist activities with Ukraine's support and funding.  Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi said late Monday that the intelligence agency had successfully located and dismantled several teams associated with Ukraine's intelligence services through a series of operations conducted all over the country.  This was part of their ongoing efforts to maintain security. 12 Soldiers, among 15 martyred in a security check post attack

Operation Shaban: Pakistani Military Killed About 90 Terrorists

July 11 - (The Global News Desk 115) — State media officials reported on Saturday that 9 more terrorists were killed during ongoing security operations in Balochistan, elevating the total number of militants killed to 88 since July 5.  Pakistan Television said that Operation Shaban is still ongoing throughout the province, with the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police engaged in coordinated air and ground operations aimed at dismantling terrorist hideouts. The new assault brings the total number of terrorists killed in Operation Shaban to 52, with intelligence-based operations raising the total to 88. Security officials have said that the operation will go on until the last terrorist is removed.
