12 Soldiers, among 15 martyred in a security check post attack

• A suicide bombing took place overnight at the Manji Khel checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, claiming the lives of 15 people, including 12 soldiers.

• The military announced on Friday that during a follow-up counter-operation, 12 militants were killed.

• The checkpoint, located in the Tank district near the Afghan border, is jointly operated by military forces and police officers.

12 Security officers and 3 civilians had reportedly been martyred when Taliban insurgents went on a killing spree in KPK province; government authorities made an announcement via press conference on Friday. 

Violent scenes were set in motion in Tank district when the Taliban stormed and annihilated security outposts, killing at least 15 Security Forces and civilians.  

The attacked checkpoint, located in the Tank district near the Afghan border, is operated by a coalition of military and police personnel.

The preliminary report revealed that militants tried to infiltrate the checkpoint. 

When they could not enter, the driver rammed the vehicle containing explosives into the external boundary, resulting in a powerful detonation.

The attack has been claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as the Pakistani Taliban.

Four suicide bombers participated in the event, according to the group's proclamation. 

The Indian and Afghan Taliban have been provide funding to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) so that it can conduct these kinds of attacks.

Train Collision In Spain: 39 Passengers Killed & 122 Injured

Córdoba, Spain -  At least 39 passengers were killed when two trains crashed in Córdoba at around 19:45 on Sunday.  Córdoba is a city in Andalusia, a southern region of Spain, and it is the provincial capital. According to official reports, out of 122 people who received medical care for their injuries, 48, including five children, are still in the hospital. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced three days of mourning and vowed to conduct a "thorough and absolutely transparent" investigation into the incident.  The high-speed train service between Madrid and Andalusia will be halted until at least Friday.  Local media reports that authorities have started up offices in numerous locations where victims' relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the deceased's identification.
