Taliban's Al-Khandak Offensive Left Scores Afghan Security Officers Dead & Wounded In Badakhshan Northern Province Of Afghanistan

Web News  BADSHAH KHAN, Afghanistan — Local sources of Teshkan district of northern Badakhshan province said that at least 30 policemen have been killed in Taliban attacks on security forces outposts on Sunday . It added that an incident occurred at 4:00 A.M local time when Taliban launched a deadly assault on security outposts . Provincial council member confirmed the attack , saying 3 policemen were also taken as hostages . However , one of the top Afghan police officers Kiramat Jahangir rejected the number of casualties said that only 5 policemen were martyred in Taliban attacks and 23 Taliban militants were killed and wounded during the shoot-out . Taliban spokesperson endorsed the attack on Teshkan district of Badakhshan  province, claiming a large number of Afghan security personals were killed in successful strikes.  — ca

Afghan Forces killed, Injured & Captured More Than 600 Armed Insurgents In A Week: Official

Web News KABUL, Afghanistan — On Sunday, Afghan official claimed that their forces had managed to kill as much as 466 terrorists in an anti-terrorist operation across the country.The statement issued by the interior ministry more said that insurgents suffered a large number of casualties in the different parts of the country.Ministry added that  466 terrorists were killed,251  injured and 50 others captured alive in anti-terrorist operation within a week.It further added that a massive cache of illegal guns and ammo were confiscated from out-lawed elements.According to the ministry of interior anti-terror operation was launched in 13 provinces including Helmand, Uruzgan, Farah, Faryab, Jowzjan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Zabul, Herat, Logar, Maidan Wardak and Nangarhar.The successful offensive against the terrorists was launched on the basis of intelligence, ministry report said.

While quoting to one of the top government officials Sayed Assadullah Sadat, Reuters reported that Taliban had seized the Qala-e Zal district in the volatile area, after fierce clashes with government forces on Saturday.

16 Afghan Forces Killed In Taliban Separate Attacks In Badghis Province : Officials

Web News  Afghanistan, Kabul —  Local government officials in northwestern Badghis province have said that at least 16 policemen and soldiers have been killed in 2 separate Taliban attacks on outposts on Sunday night.Government officials added that nine soldiers were killed in Qala-e-Naw city after Taliban carried out a deadly attack and seven other policemen were killed in another Taliban attack on a police check post in Qadis district.
