The teen assailant killed teachers and staff members. According to the government, the 14-year-old shooter used a gun that was his grandfather's. Classes at Debsirin Secondary were canceled from August 10 to August 14, and teachers were asked to work from home during that time. After the heart-wrenching school tragedy that brought about several deaths, Thailand's prime minister vowed to introduce a bill that would make it difficult for people to carry guns.
