Multan Police said on Monday that a truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas caught fire and blew up yesterday night in an industrial area in Multan, killing 6 people and injuring 38 others.

The explosion shattered the windows and roofs of adjacent houses, as well as damaged material inside the dwelling.

Although the on-site situation has been under control, nearby residences have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution.

No other information about the victims of the accident was brought to the surface by the Multan authorities as of yesterday night.
