Iranian religious scholar, Hassan Shahzeydi Gets Injured In Knife Attack

Tehran - According to the state news agency IRNA, a high-ranking Iranian scholar was stabbed on Friday.

 It further reported that the incident took place in the central city of Isfahan.  

The cleric was slightly injured and his life is not in danger. 

The neck of Ayatollah Yousef Tabatabai-Nejad was scratched in an attack, police said. Security officers apprehended the attacker, who was around 25 years old, according to Hassan Shahzeydi, the cleric's deputy. 

According to semi-official news, Ayatollah was relocated after treatment and looked unhurt in an interview with state television. 

"It was a young man who had a problem and suddenly attacked, and he couldn't do anything except hit my neck with a blow, but he was restrained. 

His intent must be investigated "In the interview, Isfahan's Friday prayers imam, Ayatollah Yousef Tabatabai-Nejad, said. 

Two Iranian clerics were stabbed to death and one was injured in April at the country's largest Shi'ite Muslim religious complex in Mashhad, in the country's northeast. 

The attacker was identified as a 21-year-old ethnic Uzbek from Afghanistan, according to officials.

Russian Airstrikes Wreak Havoc On Tahrir al-Sham Leadership - Russian Defense Ministry

He added their warplanes launched intelligence based airstrikes in which they targeted Tahrir al-Sham formerly known as Al - Nusra Front meeting venue in which more than 60 terrorists including 12 field commanders and Julani body guards were eliminated and score others were wounded . Local sources of Idlib city said in accurate and timely airstrikes Prominent  Leader Abu Mohammad al-Julan lost his both hands .

Saudi Arabia and Iran will reopen their embassies shortly

  Tehran, IRAN-  Saudi Arabia and Iran will reopen embassies in each other's capitals "within days," Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdolakhian said on Friday. Seven years after the two countries terminated their activities, there is a breakthrough in relations. According to the official translation into Arabic, "We have agreed to reopen the Iranian and Saudi Arabian embassies in Tehran and Riyadh in the next few days, during the last phone call between the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia on Eid al-Fitr."
