November 04 - (The Global News Desk
115)– Democrats gained the lion's share in both the Senate and
House, winning decisively in a Republican stronghold as hundreds of thousands
of voters expressed their harsh criticism of President Donald Trump.
The reach of the Democratic surge is still
becoming obvious, but the party succeeded in states previously deemed
Unachievable, such as conservative strongholds like South Carolina, Texas, and
Iowa.
AP reported that Democrats and the 2 independents
who align with them have secured 54 Senate seats against 44 for Republicans,
representing a net gain of 7 seats, despite several races still uncalled.
The Associated Press (AP) has also confirmed 228
House seats for Democrats and 139 for Republicans, marking a 25-seat gain for
Democrats, with many races still pending.
