Tanker Crash Kills 20

August, 09 - (The Global News Desk 115) - About people were killed, and several others received injuries on Friday night when a 20-wheeler diesel tanker overturned in the Bangui region.

Bangui is the largest city and the capital of the Central African Republic.

The initial report by eyewitnesses said that the driver, who was driving very fast, lost control of the truck loaded with diesel, leading to a deadly accident.



Local authorities have not confirmed the final death toll yet, but the Provisional Government says the toll is 20.

Furthermore, scores of others injured were transported to Bangui hospital for treatment.

Train Collision In Spain: 39 Passengers Killed & 122 Injured

Córdoba, Spain -  At least 39 passengers were killed when two trains crashed in Córdoba at around 19:45 on Sunday.  Córdoba is a city in Andalusia, a southern region of Spain, and it is the provincial capital. According to official reports, out of 122 people who received medical care for their injuries, 48, including five children, are still in the hospital. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced three days of mourning and vowed to conduct a "thorough and absolutely transparent" investigation into the incident.  The high-speed train service between Madrid and Andalusia will be halted until at least Friday.  Local media reports that authorities have started up offices in numerous locations where victims' relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the deceased's identification.
