A bus crash in Uganda brought about at least 20 children's deaths and 60 injuries.
The children headed home from a school trip to Sipi Falls in
Kapchorwa District, according to the preliminary inquiry.
The driver apparently lost control of the bus and struck a large
rock, causing it to drift off on a perilous route.
The school's owner is among those who lost their lives in the
terrible accident.
The bus carrying pupils from King David Junior School in Ndejje
flipped over at Chekwatit hamlet in the Kawowo area around 20:00 local time
(17:00 GMT), according to the government.
Balaam Ateenyi Barugahara, the Minister of Local Government, wrote
on X that he was shaken by the horrific tragedy and mourned for the victims of
the school bus.
