Trump brushes off Israeli pushback against the possible F-35 sale to Türkiye

July 29 - (The Global News Desk 115) — US President Donald Trump turned down Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's objections to the possible sale of F-35 fighter jets to Türkiye on Monday.

Trump showed that he does not share Netanyahu's views on this issue.

While speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump stated, "Nobody tells me what we should be selling."

He labeled Türkiye a "tremendous ally" and referred to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a "friend" who has done a "very good job" on regional issues, particularly in Syria.

He termed Ankara a "strong ally" and claimed that no other country's leader could affect U.S. defense exports.

Erdogan says that Trump has taken a "positive approach" to giving Turkey F-35 fighter jets.
