The OPEC-Russia oil output agreement is still in effect

The deal between the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and Russia has been confirmed by the UAE's energy minister. 

The war in Ukraine, according to Energy Minister Suhail al-Mazrouei, should have no bearing on the oil companies' strategy.

"Anything we do as a state, we always feel that when it comes to production and this effort, it needs to stay out of politics," Mazrouei said at the Atlantic Council's energy event in Dubai.
