Afghanistan Capital Rocked By Blast, Many Feared Dead Reported

KABUL, Afghanistan — As many as six people had reportedly been killed near the Marshal Fahim National Defense University, in-office hours, on Tuesday morning. No claim of responsibility has yet been made for the bomb attack by any insurgents group. A violent action started when an unidentified miscreant broke the security barriers and detonated explosive device (IED) near the Marshal Fahim National Defense University. The Marshal Fahim National Defense University, also known as the Afghan National Defense University, is a military academy located in Kabul. An eyewitness told the media that the explosion was so violent in nature in which 2 civilians and four cadets were killed, and 12 more wounded. A bystander said that he could see nails and bolts strewn at the place of the blast. NO other identifying information was released by the interior ministry of Afghanistan. On August 5th, 2014 American on duty Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene was also killed in this Defense University after being shot by an Afghan soldier with an M16 rifle.
