Dozens Die As Bus Falls Into Gorge
INDONESIA, Jakarta — 28 people are reported to have been killed and 22 more wounded after a lorry with 50 people on board skids and plunges over the cliff in Indonesia. The accident took place in Sumatra province after a coach went out of the control and plummeted down in a 150-meter deep ravine when it was transporting the passengers from Bengkulu city to Palembang on Monday night. Police said that more than 100 rescuers along with a column of police officers had been struggling to pull passengers out from the mangled wreckage of lorry as it plunged into the stream after swerved off the road.
