ANDSF Casualties Toll Hit High Record After US Land Forces Withdrawal

US ground forces' withdrawal from Afghanistan soil has raised several questions and apprehensions for the Afghan security forces and its allies. The United Nations report published in late September 2017 says that the security situation in Afghanistan is grim and getting grimmer with each passing day. Approximately 45,000 Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have been killed since the United States has completed its ground forces full evacuation from Afghanistan. On 27 May 2014, Obama announced that U.S. combat operations in Afghanistan would end in December 2014 and the troops' number will be reduced to 9,800. The entire US troops withdrawal was completed on December 20, 2014. America and its allied forces have been invading Afghanistan for the last 18 years but the security situation has remained unchanged. Roundabout  $900 billion has been spent in the 18 years of  Afghanistan war but the Ameican dream of emerging as victorious from the Afghan conflict is doomed to failure.
