Afghanistan, KABUL — A time bomb placed in sofa went off during the speech of infamous communist Politician Abdul Jabar Qahraman at his election campaign headquarter, in Afghanistan's Helmand province. The spokesman for the governor of Helmand province said that incident took place in Lashkargah city, in which Abdul Jabar Qahraman and his three aides were killed on Wednesday. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident. He served as a Major General in the Afghan Army (1982-1992), during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s. His command was the last stronghold of the Russian-backed Communist government in southern He also served as a Wolesi Jirga Member in 2010, MP & MNA of Helmand Province. He was also appointed as security adviser to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in 2016.
