KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — At least 16 people were killed and several others sustained injuries in a road accident in Afghanistan's southern province of Kandahar. One of the top traffic police officers told the media on Saturday that accident occurred due to a technical glitch in which other 25 injured passengers including women and children were sent to the hospital. Local sources said that a speedy imbalanced truck rammed into the bus filled with the passengers in Zhari district of Kandahar province killing and wounding more than 40 people including women and children.
