KABUL , Afghanistan — Around 43 Afghan military servicemen were killed and 9 wounded in chain of deadly explosive laden vehicles attacks , carried out by the Taliban militants in Kandhar province on Thursday . Afghan military source told the media that insurgents targeted military base with 2 explosive Humvess in Maiwand district of western Kandahar province . Kandahar police chief has acknowledged the incident , but he could not confirm the exact figure of causalities . On Tuesday , at least 80 people were killed and over 300 wounded in the series of deadly attacks launched by the Afghan Taliban , in Gardez city of Paktia province .
