July 31 - (The Global News Desk 115) - Dozens of police officers were killed and injured when terrorists blew up a checkpoint in north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Insurgents launched the series of attacks in the Hangu region of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, near the Afghanistan border, the provincial police headquarters said.  Authorities reported on Thursday that around 11 police officers were killed and 28 others were injured in the recent ambush at a security checkpoint in northern Pakistan.  The attack was allegedly carried out by the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to the KPK police. Attacks on government buildings and security forces in northwest and southwest Pakistan have long been carried out by the TTP. July 29 - (The Global News Desk 115) — Security forces have effectively neutralized 32 terrorists associated with Indian proxies through intelligence-driven operations carried out in multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan. Twenty-four terrorists were killed as a result of security forces successfully taking on different terrorist positions during various targeted raids. The media wing of the military announced that operations were executed on the night of July 28-29, 2026, in the Khyber district located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  Simultaneously, security forces conducted several intelligence-based operations in the District of Nushki, Balochistan, where a heated encounter resulted in the killings of eight militants. July 29 - (The Global News Desk 115) —  US President Donald Trump turned down Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's objections to the possible sale of F-35 fighter jets to Türkiye on Monday. Trump showed that he does not share Netanyahu's views on this issue. While speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump stated, "Nobody tells me what we should be selling." He labeled Türkiye a "tremendous ally" and referred to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a "friend" who has done a "very good job" on regional issues, particularly in Syria. He termed Ankara a "strong ally" and claimed that no other country's leader could affect U.S. defense exports. Erdogan says that Trump has taken a "positive approach" to giving Turkey F-35 fighter jets.

July 28 - (The Global News Desk 115) — Numerous terrorist groups that were involved in a string of explosions around Iraq have been successfully eliminated by Iraq's intelligence services. • Nima Moradi, a young sailor from Bandar Anzali on his inaugural voyage, was killed in a  Ukrainian drone strike on the merchant ship "Ana" in the Caspian Sea. • This young sailor was an ardent supporter of the Bandar Anzali Malavan Football Club. Ukrainian forces carried out a drone attack on the commercial ship "Ana" in the Caspian Sea early Saturday morning, killing Nima Moradi, a young sailor from Bandar Anzali on his first voyage.  He has a strong link to Bandar Anzali Malavan Football Club. The drone strikes occurred when the ship "Ana" was heading from the Russian port of Astrakhan to Bandar Anzali.  Iran released a photo on Monday of one of its sailors who was martyred as a result of a Ukrainian attack on a commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea.  Tehran has also declared that it will take revenge for Ukraine's attack.

July 27 - (The Global News Desk 115) — The Israeli political security Cabinet approved the deployment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza on Sunday, as reported by Israeli media.  This decision was made in support of the proposal made by US President Donald Trump. The UN Security Council adopted Trump's plan in Resolution 2803 on November 17, 2025, creating four organizations, including the ISF, to supervise Gaza. Israeli media say the Cabinet has authorized a Board of Peace multinational force to enter Gaza. Furthermore, it reported that Itamar Ben-Gvir, the far-right National Security Minister, voted against the majority of the Cabinet in opposition to the decision. Trump's strategy involves the US partnering with Arab and international allies to form a temporary stabilization force that can be deployed in Gaza without delay. Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi was called upon by Iranian officials to repay an $11 billion debt for natural gas purchases during his recent trip to Tehran, as revealed by reputable sources in Iraqi media.  Based on information from two sources, one associated with al-Zaidi and the other an Iraqi ambassador, the Iraqi prime minister informed Iranian authorities that Baghdad could not deliver the complete amount at this time. Al-Zaidi, instead, proposed the transfer of $1 billion to Saudi Arabia to cover the Hajj fees that Iran owes.
