Floods And landslides In India: 19 Lives Claimed By Deadly Flooding

The monsoon floods and landslides have killed 19 people.

8 people were confirmed dead in Nagaland on Sunday, and 11 others lost their lives in the Indian-controlled area of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for "extremely heavy downpour" in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days.

The government has temporarily suspended the annual pilgrimage to Amarnath in Kashmir, which frequently attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year.

Floods and landslides are common during the monsoon months, which usually extend from June to September.

Train Collision In Spain: 39 Passengers Killed & 122 Injured

Córdoba, Spain -  At least 39 passengers were killed when two trains crashed in Córdoba at around 19:45 on Sunday.  Córdoba is a city in Andalusia, a southern region of Spain, and it is the provincial capital. According to official reports, out of 122 people who received medical care for their injuries, 48, including five children, are still in the hospital. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced three days of mourning and vowed to conduct a "thorough and absolutely transparent" investigation into the incident.  The high-speed train service between Madrid and Andalusia will be halted until at least Friday.  Local media reports that authorities have started up offices in numerous locations where victims' relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the deceased's identification.
