Iran-US War: Iran-US Finalized Peace MOU To End Ongoing Conflict

Iran's Supreme National Security Council said on June 14 that the United States and Iran have reached a memorandum of agreement regarding the end-of-war talks.

The primary details of the finalized MoU comprise

1. A permanent ceasefire has been established across all fronts, including Lebanon and Israel.

2. A mutual commitment to terminate the current conflict and an agreement not to start new wars or mobilize a military force.

3. The US military blockade of Iranian ports and cargo must be lifted completely and immediately.

4. Measures to address Iran's nuclear program have been launched, with a focus on nuclear nonproliferation.

5. The United States focuses on the removal of its military personnel from nearby locations rather than increasing its regional military capabilities.

6. The United States is determined to remove sanctions on Iranian energy and oil exports.

7. The United States is set to release billions of dollars in Iranian assets that have been frozen and will also lift oil sanctions.

8. The US and its allies are supposed to supply Iran with reconstruction plans totaling at least $300 billion.

These clauses are part of a comprehensive agreement aimed at resolving continuing problems and improving negotiations about Iran's nuclear program and regional security.

According to the secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is set to be officially signed on Friday, June 19.

Negotiations for a final agreement will be delayed until the other party has met its obligations as outlined in the memorandum, the secretariat stated.

The statement also acknowledged the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar with gratitude.

The signing ceremony is set to take place in Geneva, Switzerland.

President Asif Ali Zardari has shown his support for the announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran.

In a post on his X handle, he expressed hope that this would facilitate a final agreement and lay the foundation for enduring, comprehensive peace in the region.
