Eight Killed in Islamabad Explosion
At least eight people, including the bride and groom, were killed
in a gas explosion at a home in Islamabad after a wedding reception, according
to the law enforcement department.

occurred in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, during a wedding event, said
authorities on Sunday.
According to the police, the explosion occurred during a wedding
reception at a home in a residential area of the city.
The explosion claimed the lives of the bride, groom, family
members, and two neighbors. A government official said that authorities were
informed early Sunday, and police investigations are ongoing.
The authorities said that several nearby residences had been damaged and that nearby roadways were closed to facilitate emergency rescue services.
Officials further added that an investigation is underway to determine whether a gas cylinder
or a gas leak caused the explosion.
