The Russian Security Council's deputy chairman, Dmitry Medvedev, dismissed the impact of Western sanctions on Russia, notifying that Western sanctions could wipe out the entire world economic structure.
"The assets of financial institutions, including central banks, are blocked in the West, and they're talking about confiscating or nationalizing these assets," Medvedev said in an interview with Sputnik and RT released on Saturday.
He further said that this is, of course, a war with no foundations, and will result in the destruction of the entire global economic structure.
Medvedev affirmed his country's promise to defend its sovereignty and independence, emphasizing that it is undoubtedly prepared to respond adequately to any attack on its independence and strategy.
