Russian Ministry of Defense: Russian forces have taken complete control of Izyum, and 60 Ukrainian military targets have been destroyed
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian Armed Forces acquired complete control of the city of Izyum in the Kharkov province Thursday morning.
According to the Ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, Russian operational and tactical aviation destroyed 60 military targets in Ukraine last night, including two command centers, two missile launchers, four ammunition depots, and 47 Ukrainian weapons and combat equipment staging sites, and two drones were shot down.
According to Konashenkov, Ukrainian military bases were targeted with high-precision weapons from long distances on Wednesday evening and last night, resulting in the destruction of 13 anti-aircraft missile systems, including 9 "S-300" and 4 "Buk-M" systems.
The destruction of a rocket command and artillery post in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, in Danilovka, south of Kyiv, as well as the temporary headquarters of a nationalist battalion in the Lysychansk region.
He claims that 257 drones had been shot down since the start of the special operation, as well as 202 anti-air missiles, 1572 tanks and other armored vehicles, 160 rocket launchers, and 633 field artillery.
Apart from that, 1379 special military vehicles were annihilated.
Konashenkov confirmed that the Russian Defense Ministry is still studying the documents received from Ukrainian employees of the biological laboratory regarding the United States' secret military biological activities in Ukraine.
He stated that the Russian Ministry of Defense will soon publish documents revealing the Pentagon's "UB2" biological project.
