Afghanistan: Police killed 3 Assailants After Minister House Attacked

Police repelled the terrorist attack near the house of the interim minister of National Defense in Kabul. Terrorists launched an explosive-laden vehicle attack to blow up the acting minister General Bismillah Mohammadi's residence in Shirpur, Kabul. A car bomb attack killed 8, wounded 20 near the minister's house. The Afghan special forces leaped into action after an emergency phone call rang, spokesperson for the Interior Ministry stated during a media briefing. After several hours of the standoff with police, all 3 attackers were killed, he further added in the statement. The police operation ended at 11.00 P.M after three hours shootout with insurgents.
