10,000 Chinese & Russian Soldiers To participate In a combined Drill In Ningxia.

In a bid to further deepening of their defence alliance, more than 10,000 troops from China and Russia will participate in a joint practice. The exercise will take place in China's Ningxia Hui autonomous province in early August, according to Chinese defence ministry spokeswoman Wu Qian. The action comes as both countries' relations with the United States are deteriorating. During a routine press briefing in Beijing, Wu stated, "The objective of this exercise is to cement and develop a comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between two countries."“It will also highlight both sides' determination and capabilities to confront terrorist forces and jointly safeguard regional peace and security,” says the statement.
