18 Pupils Feared Dead Reported After Blast Hit Afghanistan Capital

KABUL, Afghanistan — At least 18 people, mostly students of the Faculty of Science (FSC) have reportedly been killed, and nearly 50 hurt in a suicide attack at the private education center in Kabul. The suicide attack occurred at the Kawsar private education center in the pre-dominant Shiite neighborhood of western Kabul, Dasht-e-Barchi, on Saturday evening, the Afghan health ministry said. The violence began when a suicide bomber blew up himself at the gate of a private institution after being stopped and identified by the security guard. Seriously injured, and dead bodies of blast victims were transferred to the government hospital. The attack was believed to have been carried out by the Islamic State terrorist organization as the Taliban spokesman denied any involvement in a deadly attack.No another piece of information about the deceased was immediately released by the Afghan government authorities.

Train Collision In Spain: 39 Passengers Killed & 122 Injured

Córdoba, Spain -  At least 39 passengers were killed when two trains crashed in Córdoba at around 19:45 on Sunday.  Córdoba is a city in Andalusia, a southern region of Spain, and it is the provincial capital. According to official reports, out of 122 people who received medical care for their injuries, 48, including five children, are still in the hospital. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced three days of mourning and vowed to conduct a "thorough and absolutely transparent" investigation into the incident.  The high-speed train service between Madrid and Andalusia will be halted until at least Friday.  Local media reports that authorities have started up offices in numerous locations where victims' relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the deceased's identification.

Pakistani President, Mr Asif Ali Zardari, Begins 4-day Iraq Visit

BAGHDAD, Iraq  —   President Asif Ali Zardari rolled into Baghdad on Saturday for an official visit all about boosting trade ties. President Zardari aims to strengthen relations with Baghdad following years of limited interaction.    "President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Baghdad for a four-day official visit to Iraq," his office announced on social media.   Culture Minister Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani warmly welcomed him. The visit seeks to enhance cooperation and strengthen relations between Pakistan and Iraq through meetings with senior Iraqi leaders.   Zardari's trip is part of recent top-level meet-ups to boost ties between the two sides, focusing on economic, political, and community links.   Pakistan's foreign office announced that the president will hold discussions with Iraq's senior leaders regarding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, education, and personnel.
