BADSHAH KHAN, Afghanistan — Afghan government officials said on Friday , that Kohistan district located in Afghanistan’s northern province of Badakhshan has fallen to Taliban after several days of ferocious , consequential and consecutive fight . Sanaullah Rohani , the spokesperson , for the provincial Police Head told the media that seizure of district came after Afghan security forces failed to receive reinforcements in due course . Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman, said at least 15 members of Afghan security forces had been killed and 14 wounded with three pickup trucks and a large number of weapons seized . Two Taliban militants were also killed .
