6 Pakistanis among 8 peacekeepers killed in Congo helicopter crash

A helicopter crashed in the chaotic eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Tuesday, killing eight UN soldiers — six Pakistanis, a Russian, and a Serb, according to the UN and Pakistan."  Puma Helicopter crashed while on a covert mission in Congo."  "The accurate cause of the crash is still to be determined," the Pakistani military's media wing said. 5 People Killed In Gun Violence In Israel

The gunman killed at least five people in Bnei Brak city before being shot and killed.  According to local media, the incident took place on Tuesday in Bnei Brak, an ultra-Orthodox suburb of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv. "Sadly, we must release information that five people have died," said Magen David Adom, the head of the emergency services. According to a ZAKA rescue service spokesperson, one more person suffered serious injuries. Police said that a man with an assault rifle opened fire on people in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, at two different locations. When the cops arrived, they shot him dead.  To stem the tide of violence, Israel's Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, has convened an emergency meeting of top security officials. Nearly a dozen Israelis were killed during the week of violent attacks in Israel.   As per Israeli media outlets, most of the attacks were staged by ISIS elements.  

Russia consented to downsize operations near Kyiv and northern Ukraine

Russia on Tuesday promised to reduce military operations around Kyiv and northern Ukraine.  Prior to the talks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his country was ready to declare neutrality, as Moscow has demanded, and was willing to compromise on the contested eastern region of Donbas. Ukrainian negotiating team said that under their proposals, Kyiv would agree not to join alliances or host foreign soldiers.  However, it seeks security guarantees from its allies. "A decision was made to sharply reduce military activity in the Kyiv and Chernihiv directions by a large margin in order to increase trust and understanding and build the right conditions for further negotiations and achieving the ultimate objectives of agreeing and signing an agreement," Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin told Reuters.

The OPEC-Russia oil output agreement is still in effect

The deal between the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and Russia has been confirmed by the UAE's energy minister.  The war in Ukraine, according to Energy Minister Suhail al-Mazrouei, should have no bearing on the oil companies' strategy. "Anything we do as a state, we always feel that when it comes to production and this effort, it needs to stay out of politics," Mazrouei said at the Atlantic Council's energy event in Dubai.

A new round of Ukraine-Russia talks will start in Istanbul

A new round of Russian-Ukrainian talks will start on Tuesday in  Turkey's  city  Istanbul . Two delegations from Moscow and Kyiv will take part in peace talks to discuss various issues in order to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine. After three rounds of talks in Belarus and a meeting in Turkey between the two countries' foreign ministers,  Sergey Lavrov  Lavrov and Dmitry Kuleba, Russia and Ukraine agreed on Sunday to hold a new round of talks on Tuesday and  Wednesday.

Massive Petroleum Depot Nearby Klevan Town "knocked down": Russian Military

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday that high-precision winged air missiles had destroyed a large fuel base in Klevan, Ukraine's Rivne province.  Rivne Oblast is a Ukrainian autonomous region (province). Rivne is its administrative center. According to the Ministry, fuel was being supplied to Ukrainian equipment on the outskirts of Kyiv from this plant.  As per the document, the Russian anti-aircraft forces shot down three Ukrainian drones during the night, and tactical planes destroyed 68 Ukrainian military installations, including three command posts and four anti-missile defense systems, including three Beech M1 models "and one OSA model, one radio station, five rocket launchers, two ammunition depots, three fuel and lubricant depots, 19 military equipment and fortification posts.  Since the start of Russian special operations in Ukraine, there have been 123 aircraft, 74 helicopters, 311 drones, 1,738 tanks, and other armored vehicles, 181 rocket launchers, 726

Gunmen stormed illegal cockfighting site in Mexico, killing 20 spectators

The incident occurred in Las Tinajas, a rural town in Zinapécuaro Police in Mexico revealed that a group of militants assaulted an illegal cockfighting site in a tiny village in western Michoacan, killing 20 people.  Police and bystanders detailed a horrifying carnage in which assailants dressed in military clothes arrived shortly after 10.20 p.m. on Sunday and started firing with assault rifles on crowds of mostly middle-aged males.  The highway leading to the cockfighting arena was blocked by two small trucks.  Mexican police said they discovered 19 bodies, 16 men and 3 women, according to local media.  Another victim died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. There are about 100 7.62 caliber rifle bullets on the ground. Police also impounded 15 vehicles that were present at the accident scene.
