67 Killed After Passenger Jet Rammed Into Chopper In US

Approximately 67 people were killed when an American Airlines passenger aircraft crashed in Washington DC.  A US Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed into the icy Potomac River close to Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday, after a deadly collision with a passenger Jet.  All of the passengers were killed when an American Airlines flight collided with a helicopter as it headed to Reagan Airport in Washington.  The passenger plane and helicopter fell into the Potomac River, killing everyone on board, according to President Donald Trump. At least 28 corpses have been retrieved from the river where the Blackhawk chopper and Aircraft 5342 crashed.  Authorities said it is improbable that anyone survived the terrible incident.  Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all conveyed their deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. 

Stampede Kills 39 At Kumbh Mela—Festival in India

New Delhi, India —  At least 39 pilgrims were killed and 60 more were injured in a stampede at the Kumbh Mela, also called the Maha Kumbh Mela, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday dawn, according to the government.   Between 1:00 and 2:10 a.m. local time, the crowd overrun those who waited to take a holy wash in the river, according to a senior police officer. Hindu holy day of "Mauni Amavasya," around 100,000,000 people came together in Prayagraj town to take a sacred bath at the confluence of three rivers: the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.   As they transported victims from the disaster scene, rescue workers had to navigate through piles of footwear, clothes, and other left items.  Police were spotted carrying stretchers with victims' bodies shrouded in heavy blankets. Sindh Gvot Signs Agreement To Form Dhabeji Special Economic Zone

Chinese and local businessmen have agreed with the Sindh government to establish the "Dhabeji Special Economic Zone" in the Thatta district. Special Economic Zones have been formed under CPEC with the cooperation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to encourage economic development. Apart from providing over 100,000 jobs and garnering $3 billion in investment, the "Dhabeji Special Economic Zone" is projected to provide access to international trade channels because of its ideal location adjacent to Karachi's ports.  This agreement is heralded as a watershed moment in Pakistan-China industrial cooperation to boost the country's economy. Pakistan: 6 killed After liquefied Petroleum Gas Tanker Explosion

Multan Police said on Monday that a truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas caught fire and blew up yesterday night in an industrial area in Multan, killing 6 people and injuring 38 others. The explosion shattered the windows and roofs of adjacent houses, as well as damaged material inside the dwelling.  Although the on-site situation has been under control, nearby residences have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution.  There was no clear indication of the cause of the purported explosion.  Multan Deputy Commissioner  said the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority had also been brought in for the rescue services.  The fire was effectively put out by rescue teams.  The victim's identity could not be determined immediately. The blaze was contained, and investigators are trying to determine what triggered the gas leak and explosion. Junaid Akbar Replaces Ali Amin Gandapur As PTI KPK President

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan   — Ali Amin Gandapur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's chief minister, has been ousted as president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's KPK region as part of an important change in the party,  PTI press secretary said Saturday.  A senior PTI  leader and member of the National Assembly (MNA) Junaid Akbar, has been elected as PTI president of the KPK position on the recommendation of imprisoned PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. During a meeting in Adiala Jail, PTI founder and Pakistani former P.M. Imran Khan, Atif Khan, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, and Mian Farhat Abbas decided to remove Ali Amin Gandapur from his post as president of KPK. Pakistani Military Killed 30 Terrorists During Anti-Terrorist Campaign

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  — Thirty terrorists were killed in multiple clashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on January 24–25, 2025, ISPR reported.  Security forces executed one of three intelligence-based operations in the Lakki Marwat district.    In the operation, soldiers successfully attacked the insurgents' site, killing 18 and injuring 6 more. District Karak was the second location to launch an intelligence-based operation, according to the ISPR leaflet.  Eight terrorists were successfully eliminated by the security personnel in the following shootout.  About 4 terrorists, including ring commanders Aziz ur Rehman Qari Ismail and insurgent Mukhlis, were killed by the military soldiers in a third encounter near Bagh in Khyber District. 2 Khwarijs were injured. Two People Are Dead In Germany After A Knife Attack

  B erlin, Germany —  A 28-year-old Afghan man stabbed a two-year-old child and his 41-year-old father in a German park, killing both. Police officers closed off the public park after two more people were critically injured and moved to the hospital. The state interior minister claims that the suspect, who had been jailed at least three times before for suspicious conduct, was let go after psychiatric therapy. Joachim Herrmann, the interior minister of Bavaria, said that he was supposed to return to Afghanistan after his refugee application was turned down. Railway Incident in West India, Claimed 12 Lives

At least 12 people were killed in a rail accident in Maharashtra, western India, on Wednesday. The terrible tragedy began when passengers got out of their train, believing a fire, but were hit by another train on the right next track, according to local media reports.  The train stopped at a stop when someone triggered the alarm chain, railway authorities reported to local media. After that, numerous people disembarked on the adjacent tracks and were run over by another passing train. "As per the reports, 12 people were killed in the accident and 5 others are injured,". After the tragedy at Pachora, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed his sadness on X, posting that he was deeply shocked by the tragic loss of lives. " The Maharashtra chief minister also promised to pay for the injured people's medical bills and offered 500,000 in compensation to the relatives of each deceased person.

Inferno Consumed Hotel Rooms In Turkey, Leaving 76 Dead

A blaze annihilated a Turkish hotel and killed at least 76 people. At 03:27 a.m local time, during the School holiday season, the 12-story, wooden-clad Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu City caught fire as 234 visitors slept. However the cause of the fire is unknown, Bolu Governor Aydin said initial investigations identified the fire began in the hotel's restaurant area on the fourth floor and spread to almost every part of the hotel. According to Aydin, it took more than an hour for fire brigades to arrive at the scene due to the distance between the hotel in Kartalkaya and the center of Bolu and the cold weather .  Emergency services deployed 267 workers to the location.  Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all conveyed their deep sorrow at the loss of precious lives.  

Iran's Top General Visits Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  —   General Asim Munir, Pakistan's army chief, had invited Iran's top general to visit Pakistan for two days. He is scheduled to meet with senior Pakistani military leaders, as well as the president, prime minister, and defense minister. Major General Mohammad Bagheri thinks that the Islamic Republic and Pakistan's military and security relations are improving each  day. General Mohammad Bagheri, who arrived in Islamabad on Sunday, told reporters that "we have witnessed significant developments in the region over the past year, where Iran and Pakistan, as two Islamic nations, are located in the historically important regions of West and South Asia." Topics of discussion include current regional developments, border safety, the fight against terrorism, and growing levels of defense and military cooperation.

Myanmar Junta Killed Scores Of Muslims

At least 43 civilians were killed and 52 injured after airstrikes carried out by Myanmar's military junta targeted the village of Kyauk Ni Maw in Ramree Town in the Rakhine state.  Kyauk Ni Maw, a mostly Muslim hamlet in Myanmar, was bombarded by military junta warplanes on June 8, 2025. Over 502 dwellings were torched by fires produced by the aircraft bombardment, which also caused considerable damage and destruction to the region. Locals claim that many of the deceased were women, children, and senior citizens.  The Arakan Army (AA), an armed group based in Western Rakhine, controls the targeted village.  The Arakan Army, commonly known as the Arakha Army, is an ethno-nationalist armed group located in Rakhine State (Arakan). Founded in April 2009, the AA is the military branch of the United League of Arakan (ULA). The junta and the AA are fighting to control Rakhine, where the AA has already taken large land areas in the past year.

Deadly Earthquake Rocks Tibet, killing About 126

According to CCTV, the devastating earthquake that struck China's remote Tibet region at approximately 9:00 AM on Tuesday has claimed the lives of at least 126 people. The Xigaze city or Shigatse city government said that more than 29,000 families have been moved and 407 people stuck have been rescued after an initial assessment revealed that more than 3,600 houses had collapsed. The earthquake's 6.8-magnitude tremors affected adjacent countries, India and Nepal.  China's state network CCTV displayed images and photographs of the enormous destruction caused by the quake, including walls being ripped apart, houses being reduced to rubble, and debris being spread all over the ruins.
