Texas authorities discovered 50 dead migrants in the truck

As many as 50 illegal immigrants have been found dead in an abandoned trailer near the US-Mexico border in San Antonio, Texas. The earthquake in Afghanistan has killed at least 950 people and injured hundreds more, Afghan authorities confirmed.  About 950 people have died and more than 1500 have been injured, a top disaster management official said during a news briefing. Air ambulance service was activated in the eastern Paktika province to transport severely injured to hospitals.  According to Taliban leader Hibatullah Ahundzada, hundreds of homes have been destroyed and the death toll is expected to rise.  When the earthquake near the host city occurred on Tuesday shortly after 1:30 a.m. local time, many people were at home and sound sleeping in their beds.

Food and accommodation prices climb in Canada Canada, Ottawa - Consumer prices in Canada rose 6.8 percent in April, slightly up from 6.7 percent in March, according to Statistics Canada last month. Food and property prices accounted for most of April's increase.
