Afghan Police Van Targeted By Roadside Improvised Explosive Device, killing 11 Officers

KABUL, Afghanistan — At least 11 Afghan National Police members including a local station house officer (SHO), were reportedly killed in a roadside blast, took place on Friday midnight, in Afghanistan's northeastern province of Badakhshan, a provincial police spokesman informed media outlets during the press briefing on Saturday morning. The same source further added that accident occurred at predawn time, when a vehicle packed with local Afghan policemen trapped in an explosive mine in the rural area of Khash district of   Badakhshan province.No other piece of information about the deceased was immediately released by the Afghan government authorities.

Written By Shujaat  Hussain KABUL, Afghanistan — As many as 16 culprits involved in providing logistic assistance to the Islamic State  Khorasani branch (IS-KP) and Taliban Jihadists were reportedly arrested by the Afghan security services in the past 24 hours. The press release issued by the interior ministry of Afghanistan stated that 10 people were netted in Chawki district of Kunar province for having an association with the Islamic State of the Khorasan Province (ISKP).  In the northeastern province of Thakar, meanwhile, 6 personals, along with different types of shooting  ammunition and guns  were captured for cooperating with the Taliban Jihadists, the interior ministry of Afghanistan informed the media on Friday via press release.

Afghanistan: 3 Police Officers, Including Khost Police Chief, Killed In Blast

KABUL, Afghanistan — A statement issued by the Interior Ministry OF Afghanistan confirmed the death of Khost's Regional Police Chief. Brigadier general Sayed Ahmad Babazi was killed in a roadside an improvised explosive devices (IED) blast, yesterday night, at 11:15 p.m, Afghanistan's local time. Sayed Ahmad Babazi WAS traveling to the Zinikhil neighborhood of Nadir Shah Kot district for anti-insurgent operation when the accident occurred. One of the bystanders said, "after hitting the roadside explosive device (IED), the police vehicle went up in the air and burst into flames, killing the police chief and two of his companions." The emergency crew leaped into action after an emergency alarm to retrieve dead bodies of victims from the wreckage of the vehicle. Taliban immediately claimed the responsibility for the deadly roadside blast.

Afghan Air Force Wiped Out Taliban Commanders Meeting Venue

KABUL, Afghanistan — At least 16  members of the Afghan Taliban  Special Forces Unit  were reportedly neutralized in an aerial bombardment carried out by the Afghan Air Forces on Tuesday night, at 2:00 A.M, Afghanistan local time. The bloody action began when Afghan forces airstrike wrought havoc on the Taliban  Conclave , called by the Taliban commander Mullah Yaqoob alias Mansoor in the Koshinda district of Balkh province. In targeted airstrike sixteen Taliban Jihadists including Mullah Yaqoob alias Mansoor were eliminated, the Afghan defense ministry confirmed Taliban casualties on Tuesday.Taliban spokesperson not yet confirmed the government claims.

Egyptian Military Liquidated Suspected Terrorists In Sinai

CAIRO, Egypt — Over a dozen Islamic State's terrorists were believed to have been involved in a bomb attack on Egyptian forces had reportedly been killed in massive anti-terror crackdown in North Sinai.  The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria  (ISIS)  had launched a bomb attack on the Egyptian security forces on Thursday, causing 10 casualties among the government forces. A  piece of information brought to the surface by the Ministry of Interior of Egypt on Sunday claimed that approximately 18 Islamic State terrorists most likely involved in attacks on government security forces were eliminated during the military operation in the Northern part of  Sinai.  The Sinai is a peninsula in Egypt and the only part of the country located in Asia. Afghan Government Frees 550 Taliban

The Office of the National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan informed the media via verified Twitter account on Friday that as many as 550 Taliban detained in a different part of Afghanistan had been freed. The Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) further added that 550 Taliban Jihadists imprisoned in 18 provinces of Afghanistan released under the special presidential decree signed by the Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on March 09, 2020. According to the Doha agreement, the Afghan government is bound to release 5,000 Taliban to achieve a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire that ends the longest war of American history.

Afghanistan: 12 Civilians Shot Dead In Separate Incidents

Written By Shujaat  Hussain Abbasi Kabul, Afghanistan — At least seven civilians were reportedly killed in the gruesome gun attack launched by the unidentified perpetrators in the northern province of Balkh on Wednesday. The spokesperson for the police headquarters of the Sholgara district made an announcement during the press briefing that all victims were farmers targeted by the terrorist group when they were trying to approach their lands for cultivation. No claim of responsibility has yet been made for the gun attack by any insurgents' group. In another incident, five servicemen of Pashtany Bank were killed in the gun violence that took place on the Herat-Islam Qala highway police authorities said on Thursday evening. The incident occurred in Kohsan district of Herat province. No other identifying piece of information about deceased such as names or designations was instantly released by an Afghan police source as of yesterday.
