Alexander Shulgin, Russia's permanent delegate to the OPCW Association, claimed that Syria met its Substance Weapons Show (CWC) commitment and nearby participation in the association. The Association was also responsible for its implementation in Russia. "Damascus continues to honor its commitments and participate in close cooperation with the association as indicated by the Substances Weapons Show," Shulgin said at a Friday Meeting with Sputnik. "The last 97th meeting of the Chairman of the Association for the Prohibition of Substance Weapons (OPCW), since it had been chosen to suspend Syria's privilege," Shulgin added.

DEIR EZ ZOR, Syria - Russian defense ministry has announced the killing and injuring of around 500 Islamic State militants in intense and accurate airstrikes in Deir Ezzor governorate. On Tuesday, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that at least 304 ISIS militants have been killed including 7 senior field commanders and 170 injured during 48 hours in Russian airstrikes on the eastern bank of the Euphrates river in Deir Ez-Zor, Syria. Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov further informed the Sputnik news agency that during the series of successful military operations ISIS Training Center, hideouts and weapons depots were completely extinguished in the Euphrates region.
