Egyptian Military Claims To Have Wiped out Large Column Of Terrorists

CAIRO, Egypt — Referring to the military press release, Egyptian media outlets reported that at least 83 insurgents had been neutralized, since last month. Media reported on Monday that in an anti-terrorist operation in Egypt's North Sinai region, the abundance of weapons was allegedly found form bastions of terrorists. Apart from that, 61 culprits involved in illegal and nefarious activities were apprehended in intelligence-based military raids as well. Identities and affiliation of terrorists were not ascertained by the General Intelligence Services, but Egyptian Military is understood to have killed and captured the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), militants. Sinai province-based Jama’at Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis extremist group had announced its affiliation with Islamic State’s (ISIS)  in November 2014, after accepting the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's regional caliphate, and announced self-proclaimed caliphate On November 2014, in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
