Kabul, Afghanistan — About 615 members of Desh (Terrorist Organization) have yielded to the Afghan National Defense and
Security Forces (ANDSF) in the eastern part of the country. A statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Defense on Saturday said that 18
perpetrators including women and children affiliated with Islamic State
organizations surrendered to the Afghan government forces after conceding
defeat in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, on Friday. The statement added that Islamic State presence is depleting fast in the
country due to the government forces mounting pressure and viable strategy. It
further added that notwithstanding difficulties and casualties Afghan ground
forces had been doing a terrific job, in order to clear the country from the offenders who commit crimes that blight law-abiding citizens. Since the beginning of the month, at
least 615 Daesh insurgents capitulated to the Afghan military forces in Nangarhar province located in the eastern part of the country.
