Afghan Brigade commander Killed In Blast

KABUL, Afghanistan — Head of the Afghan border security forces Commander Brigadier general Zahirgul Muqbil had been killed, three other military officers and a local journalist were wounded when their military vehicle went up in the air and engulfed in flames after hitting the roadside bomb. An improvised explosive device most likely was planted by the Taliban Jihadists in Helmand Province. High-level authorities of Helmand province announced that violence began in the Marjah district of Helmand province on Saturday morning when the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee) trapped in the indigenous roadside bomb while it was patrolling the Afghanistan border in order to launch crackdown on miscreants. Helmand, also known as Hillman located in the south of Afghanistan. It is the largest province of Afghanistan by area, covering 58,584 square kilometers area.

Train Collision In Spain: 39 Passengers Killed & 122 Injured

Córdoba, Spain -  At least 39 passengers were killed when two trains crashed in Córdoba at around 19:45 on Sunday.  Córdoba is a city in Andalusia, a southern region of Spain, and it is the provincial capital. According to official reports, out of 122 people who received medical care for their injuries, 48, including five children, are still in the hospital. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced three days of mourning and vowed to conduct a "thorough and absolutely transparent" investigation into the incident.  The high-speed train service between Madrid and Andalusia will be halted until at least Friday.  Local media reports that authorities have started up offices in numerous locations where victims' relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the deceased's identification.

Pakistani President, Mr Asif Ali Zardari, Begins 4-day Iraq Visit

BAGHDAD, Iraq  —   President Asif Ali Zardari rolled into Baghdad on Saturday for an official visit all about boosting trade ties.
