Afghanistan: Deadly Blast Rocks Qalat City Of Afghanistan Kills & Wounds Dozens

As many as 179 people were killed and wounded after explosive Laden Vehicle's blast hit the Medial Complex in Southern part of Afghanistan, government officials said on Thursday. An explosion occurred yesterday early-morning in Qalat, the capital city of Zabul province. As stated by the government officials the target of the Taliban attack was National Directorate of Security (NDS) building that is also located in the same vicinity, but mistakenly insurgents blew up government Medical Center. The National Directorate of Security is the primary intelligence agency of Afghanistan established in 2002. The spokesperson for the Afghan health minister said that 39 dead bodies and 140 injured were recovered from building wreckage. All members of the National Directorate of Security remained unscathed.
