Pakistan Set Free 175 Afghan Nationals

KABUL, Afghanistan  —  The Ministry of Repatriation and Refugees (MORR) reports that 175 more Afghan citizens returned home on Sunday after being released from Pakistani prisons. According to border authorities in Kandahar's Spin Boldak town, the ministry announced via social media that 175 Afghans were apprehended in various regions of Pakistan, where they subsequently spent periods of detention ranging from one to three days. The refugees who returned were taken back to their home regions after receiving humanitarian assistance, according to the government. Approximately 130 Afghan refugees were released from Pakistani prisons and repatriated on Thursday and Friday.  Over the past year, Pakistan has deported thousands of Afghans who were imprisoned and returned to Afghanistan.

Iran, US Nuclear Talks: Both Parties To Have More Meetings Next Week

On Saturday, Iran and the United States announced that they will hold more talks next week.  Through an Omani official serving as a mediator, Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi exchanged messages. Both sides have classified Muscat's first round of indirect talks as productive. Iranian state TV said that the nuclear talks between the two countries happened in a "positive vibe. On April 13, President Trump stated that the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran in Oman are "progressing well." He made an announcement while addressing reporters aboard Air Force One before attending a UFC event in Miami.

Saudi Arabia & Iran Can Serve As Examples for Regional Collaboration

President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran posits that the Islamic Republic and Saudi Arabia have the potential to serve as a paradigm for regional cooperation. Masood added that Islamic countries must unite to achieve peace, security, and lasting economic growth in the region. Israel Seeks Indefinite Military Presence in Syria, Gaza Strip & Lebanon

IED Blast in Mastung, Balochistan: 3 Martyred, 16 Others Injured

Quetta, Pakistan — A coach transporting police officials in the Mastung district of Balochistan, Pakistan, was targeted by unidentified assailants on Tuesday morning. Authorities reported that 3 police officers were martyred, and at least 16 others sustained injuries following an  improvised explosive device (IED)  blast. The condition of the two constables injured in the attack is critical.  All the wounded victims have been taken to the hospital, and the seriously injured have been transferred to Quetta," the government spokesperson told the media. Pakistan: 10 Killed After Passenger van Smashed Into Trailer In KPK

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — An  accident occurred on Tuesday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district.  As reported by rescue teams, a speeding passenger van collided with a trailer on the Indus Highway. The tragic crash happened when a passenger wagon cruising from Dera Ismail Khan to Peshawar smashed into a truck near Meetha Khel village, Union Council, in the Karak District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.  Rescue teams and villagers reacted quickly to the deadly scene. Rescue personnel had conveyed both the injured and deceased to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Karak.  4 of the seriously injured were moved to Peshawar for better medical care. Sadly, two of them passed away in the hospital.  The local police officer added that the names of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
