Afghanistan - Insurgents Killed 17 Afghan police officers In Kunduz province

Kabul Afghanistan — As many as 17 Afghan police officers were killed and three more wounded when insurgents went on a deadly shooting rampage in Ali Abad district of Kunduz province of Afghanistan. The action began when Taliban insurgents stormed the security outpost on Monday night. In the heavy shootout, Afghan security forces sustained large casualties. Afghan government officials have confirmed the death toll of the police officers. Government officials more added that several insurgents were also exterminated during the gunbattle between Taliban and Afghan security forces in Aarz Begi village of the Ali Abad district, but they failed to provide an exact figure of jihadists' casualties.  Kunduz is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the northern part of the country next to Tajikistan. The population of the province is around 953,800.

73 Worshipers Are Martyred By Blast In Eastern Afghanistan

Kabul Afghanistan — At Least 73 worshipers are reported to have been martyred in an explosion inside the Afganistan mosque. Explosion took place in Nangarhar province when worshipers were engaged in performing the Friday prayer. A spokesperson for Nangarhar governor said on Friday that at least 73 civilians were martyred and another 22 wounded when a blast hit the mosque in Haska Mina district of Nangarhar. The same source more added that the nature of blast was so violent that turned the mosque building into rubble. No claim of responsibility has yet been made for the bomb attack.

Turkish Incursion Of Syria Has Left 183 TFSA Soldiers, 224 SDF Fighters Dead

The United Kingdom-based NGO The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that 224 Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters and 183 Syrian National troops have been killed in the latest Turkish invasion. On Thursday,  non-governmental organization (NGO)  SOHR  further added that 72 civilians were also killed, and about 140 Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army soldiers had been wounded since the beginning of Turkish Assault. It is believed that two district centers, a town and tens of villages inside Syria have been purged  from Kurdish forces .

Turkey - Syria offensive: Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan Turndown US Call For Armistice

The US call for an instant halting of the Turkish offensive in the  Kurdish  region of   Syria  has been renounced by Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan. Despite the US sanctions, and unhealthy economic state, the man of principle Turkish president refusing to genuflect to the American leadership. His statement comes ahead of Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to Turkey. On a Monday evening, the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had gauged the more sanctions to be imposed on Turkey over the incursion of Syria.

Syrian Government Is Believed To Have Control 387 S.M Area Around Manbij City

Quoting to the Russian defense ministry, the  Russian based Interfax news agency has reported that about 1,000 Squire kilometers of the area around the Manbij city is under Syrian government forces control.  Manbij is a city in the northeast of Aleppo Governorate in northern Syria, 30 kilometers west of the Euphrates. In the 2004 census by the Central Bureau of Statistics,  Manbij had a population of nearly 100,000. The population of Manbij is largely Arab, with Kurdish, Circassian and Chechen minorities. Russian Ministry of Defence added that all major buildings including Tabqa military airfield, several hydroelectric power plants and key bridges across the Euphrates river are under Syrian government control.

Kurdish Forces Claim To Have Retaken Several Villages From Turkish Armed Forces

T he Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have said that their forces have beaten back of Turkish forces in Ras al-Ain (Sare Kani) neighborhood. It said that the perpetual state of spiral violence has spurred us on to succeed in the Ras al-Ain (Sare Kani) district. Syrian government soldiers stated that from their part agreed not to disrupt Kurdish- Democratic Forces resistance against Turkish backed militants.  UK based NGO The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces have been advancing in different constituencies of northern Syria which were previously under Turkish backed militants control. SOHR has registered 165 people deaths including women and children in the latest Turkish military offensive. Because of Turkish Deadly assault, about 170,000 people have been shifted to the safe area from the embattled region.  Source: Basnews English

New York City Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, Several Injured

As many as 4 people were killed, and 3 others were wounded in Brooklyn shooting incident. Police officials said that 4 people had been murdered in a cold blood on Saturday morning. Bystanders said police leaped into action after the emergency alarm sounded. The shooting took place at 74 Utica Avenue, in the Weeksville vicinity of Brooklyn the administrative unit of New York City. All victims including a woman with superficial injuries were shifted to a local hospital for adequate medical treatment. Police said that We will spare no effort to find the culprits of the crimes, who commit crimes that blight law-abiding communities.   Source: NBC & Press TV
